So, there's this boy I've been interested in since summer vacation but nothing ever really took off. My best friend who is also very close with him recently told him to start texting me and getting to know me, but he is shy and didn't believe that I wanted him to text me so I had to initiate the conversation. We talked for a little bit, and then I didn't hear from him after that. A few days later, he texts me out of the blue and we have a conversation that lasts from Sunday night to Tuesday afternoon. I think we were flirting, and we even made plans to get together when we got done with our winter vacations. I was the last one to say something during our conversation on Tuesday, and I haven't heard from him since. Should I wait for him to text me first, or should I go ahead and text him a "hello"? He isn't normally shy around people, but girls are a different story. He's seen as more of the "friend" type and isn't pursued by many girls. Which may have lead to him being so shy? I don't really know, and I'm being paranoid. So I guess I just want to know what I should do..
